Yea this question is for Josh. I am sure you expect to be the ace on this team and rightfully so. Do you think that you are the face of this franchise? And are you the missing piece of the Pirates Success?

We'll see how it plays out on the field who the ace of the staff is, I know that I'm penciled in as staff ace at this particular time, but performance on the field is the real factor. I'm not sure if I'm the missing piece to the organization, but they really gave up a great player in Jason Bay to get me here, so perhaps I am.

Yeah, I have a question for both David and Bobby. Guys, with your new team, do you think you can make a difference if this team makes it to the playoffs or not. The Pirates have not gone over .500 wins since 1993. How will you guys effect the team?

David - I think this team is doing a great thing in rebuilding the future centering the team around myself, Bobby, Josh, and Willy. It's a great foundation to build on, and i don't think the success of this years team will determine if the transaction was a success or not. We were acquired for the long run, and I like how this team is commiting to us. 2007 I think we can get to the playoffs.
Alright, that's enough from David, next question please

Oh, sorry. Bobby - Man, you see that they already passin me by here. No, I'm just playing, they've been real great to me here since I arrived, I really think we can make a serious push this year to finish above .500 for the first time in a very long time, and I'm quite excited for it, and to be playing on the same side of the infield as David Wright, he's one hell of a player, and I'm glad to be here in Pittsburgh.......Now we can move on. (draws laughter from press)

Breaking news...we just heard that you got Jim Edmonds. *talking to GM* What do you think he can do to help your team?

Well, he brings the one aspect this team was missing, and that is power. With the top of the lineups speed, and ability to get on base, we need a guy who can bring them home. That guy is Edmonds. I can't wait to see what he does out there on the field.

Neither can we (laughs). Jimmy -talks to Jimmy- How do you feel about going to this team and what do you think you can do to help them?

Well I really enjoy the city of Pittsburgh, they have a rich tradition in sports and have had some great players come through here, like Barry Bonds in his early days, Roberto Clemente and many others. I think I bring a lot to this team and I think I can really help out these young guys on this time. I'm hoping to help take this team to the playoffs. That's a long stretch, but it's worth a try.

-To GM- It looks like you have an All-Star team getting Wright, Crosby, Beckett, and Edmonds. Do you have any predictions for this season?

I predict we'll do well. I'm hoping for a 3rd place finish in the NL Central...which I would consider a success when you look at the teams in our divisions. Cardinals, Astros, Cubs, Reds, and Brewers. Finishing at .500 is my current goal for this team, and I feel it's a very atainable goal.
