Michael Young, you had a short time in Pittsburgh, but what was the experience like there in the football town? and how do you feel about now being on your former teams, the Texas Rangers, division foe?

Well, I wasn't really in Pittsburgh long enough to experience it, but the post-Super Bowl vibe there is amazing.
I'm going to look forward to beating my former team down in to the dirt, and beating my other former team (the Pirates) in the World Series.

In the past year and a half you got rid of 2/3rds of the big 3, and still have the other. What made you decide to keep zito and deal hudson, and mulder? Also, is there a chance that a new "big 3" is forming?

Also, is there a chance that a new "big 3" is forming? Well, Mulder and Hudson were entering their free agent years, and frankly, we can't afford them. Zito and Harden definetly make up a "big 2" right now, and we are looking for either Loaiza or Padilla to step up in that 3rd spot.

Who do you feel has to step up for you to have a chance for the W.S. this year?

Who do you feel has to step up for you to have a chance for the W.S. this year? Well, of course it would be great if everyone stepped up this year, but are 3 "X-Factors" so to speak would be Rich Harden, Huston Street, and Michael Young. I'd like to get a 17 win year out of Harden, a 40 save year out of Street, and a .330+ year out of Young.

The AL West in my opinion is the strongest division in baseball at this time, what do you plan to do to counter their styles, and potentially win the division?
