Do you think you have any competition in the AL Central this year. I mean, those Indians are gonna be tough, wouldn't you think?

you think your gonna do better than the royals and why. As far as doing better than the Royals this year, im not going to say we are or we arent. This is a new team. Im not the type of GM that is going to predict the year and who we are going to be better than and things like that. I sure hope we are. Next?

what is your chances on repeating this year? think there is a realistic chance? Of course the long-term goal for us is to get back to the World Series and repeat. Nothing would be better than that. This is a new team as i said but i do like our chances. But we arent going to get ahead of ourselves. We are going to take it one game at a time and worrying about winning the division which i think will be a tough task this year. Next?

Do you think you have any competition in the AL Central this year. I mean, those Indians are gonna be tough, wouldn't you think? This year? I thought we had competition last year. I think every team in our division got better. Every team is looking good in thr AL Central. This is not going to be a walk in the park by any means. The Indians are going to be very tough, but they arent the only team in our division that we need to concentrate on. Next?

You have had some transactions this year. Aaron Rowand leaving, Jim Thome coming. How will this effect the team and team chemistry?

Arron was a great guy and he fit in our system very well. He was well liked by everyone in the clubhouse. Of course guys didnt want to see him go but they understand it is part of the business. We brought in Thome and everyone loves this guy including myself. We expect him to have a great year this year and show everyone why we got him. Next?

I've recently heard rumors going around that you and the pirates are looking in a deal that would include the swapping of edmonds and thome.. is this true?

we have talked about it, but its nothing that you guys should get overly hyped about. As u guys know, we need to upgrade at Center field and we think a guy like edmonds would fit nicely in chicago. Nothing is set in stone and we like Thome in a White Sox Uniform.
Not saying we wont trade him, but Thome is on Chicago right now and he is happy to be here
