A source inside the league office has stated that the commisioner will shoot down a potential deal that woul have sent Barry Bonds to Detroit.
The deal would've sent Bonds, Steve Finley, Omar Vizquel and others to the Tigers for Carlos Guillen, Magglio Ordonez, Jeremy Bonderman, Troy Percival and several others.
The Tigers GM is not taking the news kindly. "If that's the way they (The League Office) wanna operate, I guess I'll have to change my ways."
The league decided to vote against the deal because many believed it robbed Detroit of many future talents in exchange for older stars.
